The FEIF-Youth-Cup is a bi-annual event for young Icelandic horse riders aged 14 to 17. It is a one week event aimed at making friends across cultures and borders. In 2012, the FEIF-Youth-Cup is hosted in Verden, Germany. Verden is a city with a vibrant equine history: It's the home of the Hanoverian horse.
Participants are bringing their own horses or - if this should be difficult due to distances - can borrow horses. Well-respected Icelandic horse trainers are giving clinics during the week, and there are many joint activities outside the oval track. During the last few days of the event there is a competition with internationally mixed teams.
Special emphasis is placed on versatility in riding, teamwork, and horsemanship throughout the FEIF-Youth-Cup.
